Together translates the same word rendered “as a group” in 1.14. However, some translators have interpreted this expression in this context to mean “of one accord,” for example, “we are unanimously agreed” (see Phillips). Agreed translates the same word as was rendered decided in verse 22, and to choose some messengers translates a construction similar to the one in verse 22 (that is, to choose some men).

The phrase our dear friends may be translated as a verbal expression: “Barnabas and Paul, whom we love very much” or “Barnabas and Paul, whom we like very much.”
