The expression for great priest is used for the sake of variety, instead of “High Priest” (see Septuagint, Lev 21.10; Num 35.28). However, there is no need to use a different expression in translation, since the meaning is the same.

In charge of the house of God translates the same phrase as in 3.6, with the same meaning. There may be complications in rendering in charge of the house of God, since the expression “the house of God” is frequently used as a name for the Temple in Jerusalem. Because the reference here is certainly to the heavenly temple or sanctuary, it may be best to indicate that fact, either in the text by some such expression as “the house of God in heaven,” or by a marginal note saying that this is a reference to the heavenly sanctuary rather than to the Temple in Jerusalem.
