The LORD of hosts: See verse 3 and 2.19.

So will I break this people and this city, as one breaks …: There are some languages where translators will not be able to say of people or a city that they can be broken. In this case the sentence can be expressed as “I will destroy these people and this city just like breaking a pot into pieces so it can’t be put together again.”
