Binnui the son of Henadad was mentioned in verse 18 above as building a section of the wall and again here as building another section, which is literally “second section” (so rendered by Revised English Bible). Binnui appears both among the Levites and the priests without any explanation in the text. These would have been two different people with the same name.
For the Angle, see the comment at verse 19. Although Good News Translation has combined to the Angle and “to the corner” from the next verse into a single phrase (“to the corner of the wall”), translators should express both concepts. Possible translation models are “to the escarpment and to the corner of the wall” and “to the buttress and to the turning of the wall.”
