For the whole creation in its nature was fashioned anew, complying with thy commands: Instead of the connector For, an introductory phrase such as “In those days” or “Yes, in those days” might help set the tone for the new section. According to this verse, at God’s command unexpected and unpredictable things happened in order for him to accomplish his purpose of protecting the Israelites. Good News Translation does not misunderstand the text by speaking of “The whole nature of the universe” instead of the whole creation, but since there is a reference to the creation account of Gen 1 in verse 10, it might be better to preserve the word creation by translating the first two lines as follows: “Yes, in those days the whole creation was made over again at your command” “… when you commanded, you made the whole creation over again,” or even “Yes, when you gave a command, the whole creation was remade.”

That thy children might be kept unharmed: On the word translated children or “servants” (Revised Standard Version footnote), compare the comments at 9.4 and 12.7. It is the translator’s choice. Good News Translation simply uses “people,” but either of the alternatives would be preferable. In languages that do not have the passive, for this line translators may say “in order to protect your children [or, servants] from harm.”
