In all the land may refer to the country where Job lived or more generally “in all the world”; “Job’s daughters were the most beautiful women in the world.”
Gave them inheritance: this way of passing on family property was a departure from Israelite laws of inheritance, which entitled a daughter to inherit only when there was no male heir (Num 27.1-11). Attention is no doubt called to it here by the author because of Job’s desire to see justice done to all his children.
