The Hebrew and Greek that is translated with “clothes” or similar in English is translated in Enlhet as “crawling-in-stuff” (source: Jacob Loewen in The Bible Translator 1971, p. 169ff. ) and in Noongar as bwoka or “Kangaroo skin” (source: Warda-Kwabba Luke-Ang).
Translation commentary on Leviticus 16:28
He who burns them: this may also be made more explicit by saying “the person who burns the bull and the goat.”
Wash his clothes: see 11.25.
Bathe his body in water: see verses 4, 24, 26, and 14.9.
